For years, Kin Laron's identity was unknown to the galaxy. Only after New Republic Intelligence began to investigate the murders did the trail lead back to Kin Laron. After the death of Den Hardon and associates, NRI agents discovered that these individuals had bounties placed by Gornt Seron, the leader of a crime syndicate on the planet of Korbin. Investigations of Seron revealed the mob boss took out a contract on Hardon and hired Kin Laron for the job. Although the NRI agents learned of Kin Laron's identity, her appearance was still unknown so the investigations came to a dead end.
